Industry 4.0 IoT Automation (Mechatronics)

The three-week Industry 4.0 IoT Automation (Mechatronics) internship enables participants to simulate automated production lines using Factory I/O, mechanically assemble stacking magazines, connect electrical and pneumatic components, and program PLC controls for conveyors and handling stations. Participants integrate and synchronise complete production systems, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, and optimise control sequences while applying safe working practices.

Duration: 3 Weeks

Projekt Korrekt e.V. –

host organisation for Erasmus KA1 projects

As a host organisation, Projekt Korrekt e.V. welcomes participants from all European countries. In the last 25 years we have gained experience from more than 1500 projects in different professional fields.

We develop model projects in the framework of Erasmus and ESF, also in cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises in the region of Leipzig and Halle.

We support the mobility of participants in the European Community and the communication between people from all over Europe.

Our project proposal for your stay in Germany:

Title:                 Industry 4.0 IoT Automation (Mechatronics)

Duration:          3 weeks

Learning outcomes common to all professions:

  • Health and safety at work – complies with health and safety regulations
  • Vocational foreign language – improved ability to use a foreign language (English/German) to perform tasks and to formulate short and understandable statements to communicate in the workplace.
  • Personal and social competences – has a culturally and ethically sound approach, has increased creativity and consistency in their actions, copes with stress and works in a team.
  • Organising work in small teams – increased ability to communicate with colleagues, organise work in a team.

Learning outcomes:

The student learns/knows

  • Can independently design, build and simulate a complete production line with a stacking magazine, conveyor and handling station (Industry 4.0 standard)
  • Can independently create an extended programme for the production line with additional conditions (e.g. counting of produced parts)
  • Can work on realistic production scenarios using physical models from Festo
  • Can assemble e.g. stack magazine, conveyor belt or handling station (mechatronics)

General tasks

  • Basics of general activities in a workshop
  • Practical knowledge of working with a computer, automation and production line in Industry 4.0

Placement: Projekt Korrekt e.V., electronics workshop and laboratory at Gut Wehlitz in Schkeuditz
